Championing Defence Jobs for The Wrekin

Conservatives are strong on defence.  The last Conservative Government proved this locally by its ongoing investment into local defence jobs and multiple Ministerial visits to defence sites in The Wrekin.

Under Labour, RAF Cosford was threatened with closure.  Under the Conservatives, it went from strength to strength.

Shropshire is rightly proud of its many brave veterans, civilian defence staff, and those who currently serve.

I work closely with local defence manufacturers RBSL/BAE in Hadley and Babcock in Donnington - protecting defence jobs and boosting local defence manufacturing and apprenticeships.

Labour are weak on defence.  Conservatives want to spend 2.5% of GDP on defence.  This is great news for Shropshire’s military bases and for our growing local defence sector.  In a dangerous world, the UK needs strong defence.
