Today in Parliament Mark Pritchard MP asked the First Secretary of State, Dominic Raab, if the Government will allow garden centres and seasonal nurseries to open in phase 1 of the lifting of lockdown restrictions, provided that social distancing rules are still observed.
The First Secretary of State responded that he understands the economic and social importance of garden centres and that the Government will continue to review this matter, which is also being considered the Government's scientific advisers.
