Radiotherapy is a vital cancer treatment needed for half of all cancer patients and involved in 40% of cures.
It uses beams of ionising radiation to kill cancer cells and can destroy, shrink or control the growth of tumours.
Commenting, Mark said:
"I was pleased to meet with representatives of Radiotherapy UK in Parliament to discuss their proposals to improve access to this cost-effective, life-saving treatment by upgrading equipment, shortening the time taken to develop treatment plans, and increasing the radiotherapy workforce."
