Today Mark joined Albrighton Village Action Group campaigners at Shirehall to present a petition - signed by 3,724 people - objecting to Boningale Homes' plans to build 800 properties on Albrighton greenbelt.
Commenting, Mark said:
"Albrighton has seen new housing over the last few years, but those sites have been developed within the scope of the Local Plan. The 800 additional houses being proposed in the village are not part of the Local Plan. The proposal would amount to unnecessary over-development of Albrighton. There has been no in-depth thinking about the impact on local highways and services. I hope Shropshire Council will agree with most Albrighton residents and throw out this application. Thank you to Albrighton Village Action Group for everything it is doing to stand up for the local greenbelt."
