Across the UK there are 2.2 million people living with conditions that cause sight loss.
I was pleased to meet 'The Eyes Have It' team in Parliament.
'The Eyes Have It' is a partnership of Macular Society, Fight for Sight, RNIB, Association of Optometrists, The Royal College of Ophthalmologists and Roche Products Ltd.
The partnership works to improve the experiences and treatment outcomes of people with eye health conditions.
Its new report includes recommendations on prevention, diagnosis, access to treatment, using new technologies to support those with sight loss, and investment in research into future treatments.
The percentage of people living in The Wrekin with sight loss is 3.8% - slightly above the national average of 3.4%.
The percentage of Wrekin constituents treated within 12 weeks of a referral is higher than the national average. That is good news, but there is still room for improvement.
