Today Mark spoke in a Westminster Hall debate about planning applications for solar farms on agricultural land.
Mark has spoken out against inappropriate applications for solar farms in The Wrekin constituency, and in the debate made the following comments:
"I support solar farms but the Planning Review needs to balance food security and wider environmental matters as well as creating new opportunities for solar farms. Both can co-exist, but solar sites need to be in the right place - and at the right scale. Nature reserves, SSSIs, and productive agricultural land need added protections too."
