Mark Pritchard calls for intervention to protect Wellington Post Office

Wrekin MP, Mark Pritchard, has called upon post offices bosses to "intervene" and "ensure" services are "restored and protected" at Wellington Post Office.

The MP, who has written to the Chief Executive  of Post Office Counters Ltd, follows the Wellington post office being closed at short notice over the past few weeks because of claimed staff shortages.

Mr Pritchard said: "Wellington post office provides a vital service to the local community. Local staffing issues need to resolved as quickly as possible and a return to a reliable service reinstated as quickly as possible. I hope Post Office Counters senior management will ensure this happens given the number of pensioners, local businesses and residents who depend on Wellington Post Office".
