Today in Parliament, Mark welcomed the fact that West Mercia Police now has 231 more officers than it did in 2019.
Mark also asked the Home Secretary about the potential for innovation to get a police presence in more towns across Shropshire.
Last year, West Mercia Police announced that a permanent police presence would return to Shifnal by basing officers in the town's community hub.
That approach allows West Mercia Police to share costs with other organisations and to help provide a one-stop-shop for several public services.
It is a model which has the potential to increase the police presence in other towns, including Newport, Shropshire.
In her response, Mark was pleased that the Home Secretary welcomed examples of police using their powers to innovate and to be more responsive and more visible in the community.
